QuiltCon Charity Quilt

We decided on our quilt for the QuiltCon charity quilt at our October meeting.  We decided on a pattern where we frame a fun block with one of the solid colors from the color scheme.

Here is a drawing of the idea of the quilt.

The blocks that make up the quilt are 12.5" x 12.5" and 16.5" x 16.5", which will finish as 12" and 16" squares, respectively.

The center blocks are your choice to make using the printed fabrics in the QuiltCon colors and white.  The background blocks are made of the solid QuiltCon colors, not the white.

*****************New measurements for the blocks since it was brought up that the 5 inch and 7 inch blocks are odd sizes.  We are going to go with 6 and 8 inch favorite blocks.  If you have already created then others, don't worry.  It will all work out.  ******************

The 12.5" block requires
center favorite:
6.5" x 6.5"
background:
4.5" x 6.5"
2.5" x 6.5"
2.5" x 12.5"
4.5" x 12.5"

The 16.5" block requires
center favorite:
8.5" x 8.5"
background:
3.5" x 8.5"
5.5" x 8.5"
3.5" x 16.5"
5.5" x 16.5"

Oh and if you have flickr, we have a JSMQG group here.  You can share your blocks as you create them.

I look forward to seeing everyone's blocks!
